We found it on Pinterest. We are trying to recreate it in front of the Laurel, on our white poles. Wish us luck and come by and see our DIY.
We had a few warm days here in the 505, so we decided to flock our outdoor trees for our urns. You know we love our urns.
Ok, we read all over the internet about all the processes, and we went with just canned flock on sale 1/2 off at Hobby Lobby. Now for the disclaimer, the can says not for heavy flocking. We ignored that, and flocked heavy with four coats. These live outside during the day and come inside at night. So far they are holding up well, they do drop a little flock here and there when brought inside, but really not too much.
They were a bargain, 3 leftover trees from years past, found in our personal garage. Three cans of spray flock at $2.49 a can. One warm afternoon outside flocking while the dog ran and played, (he was not a fan).
One product we love.
Pictures of Trees in Urns, tomorrow. Come back and see.
Do we dare? The first white flocked tree in urns is so inspirations. You know we love our urns here at Cafe Laurel. But.....then we spied these red threes on a Chanel display (are they flocked) and we fell in love. Do we dare? What do you think? Hopefully we will have some extra time this Sunday or Monday to do one of the above. We need to make some time. We loved flocked trees. This will be a DIY with trees out of our garage, so we will post the DIY as well. Stay tuned.
